Benefiting the purchase of a New Bi-Plane Imaging System

USC Arcadia Hospital has a widely recognized reputation for being a center of excellence for stroke and heart care. We are fully accredited as a comprehensive stroke center and have been designated by L.A. County Emergency Medical Services as a heart attack receiving center and a comprehensive stroke center. This means that USC Arcadia Hospital is prepared to fully treat all stroke patients onsite with the most advanced, appropriate level of care. Such comprehensive care includes not only diagnosis and treatment by highly specialized physicians, but also the use of equipment and technology that enables our physicians to perform highly complex procedures, including clot extraction and coiling of aneurysms.

Annually, USC Arcadia Hospital treats more than 2,000 patients in our angiography suites, providing life-saving procedures to stroke as well as heart attack patients, with patient volumes continuing to rise. Based on increasing demand for high-level neurological imaging services, we need to acquire an additional biplane imaging system to help achieve this goal, as well as the capacity to serve a growing demand for cardiac services. A second biplane imaging system is a key piece of equipment necessary for performing these life-saving procedures. The cost of acquiring this state-of -the-art equipment is approximately $3.5 million.

The proceeds of our 34th Annual Crystal Ball will go toward the purchase of this new technology. Your support tonight helps us continue our mission β€œto provide high-quality healing services while caring for the patient's emotional and spiritual needs and enabling them to achieve health for life.”
